Supply chain management
We manage the supply of commodities such as Robusta coffee, Cocoa beans and Cashew nuts from factory to port, from West Africa. We audit and test these commodities ensuring both quality of produce and ethics of production. With a team of people in place in each node of the supply chain, we can monitor and ensure an efficient and reliable delivery service.
Colab Commodities can work on the immediate order, short order and long order, giving our clients a series of options that dovetail with their business model. The main thrust of our service is to ensure collaborative solutions to supply chain management that allows the client to be kept abreact of order status and local opportunities that may arise during the course of each campaign.
We provide a turnkey solution which on confirmation of quantity and quality are able to work collaboratively on price and delivery terms with our clients, producers and our supply chain management team in West Africa.
We offer both FOB and CIF solutions and are happy to discuss any bespoke arrangements the client might have in mind during the process. We intend the negotiation of each delivery to be transparent and collaborative and to this end have members of our team in Europe that can help to manage any issues that may crop up.
We have and will continue to develop mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers with agreements in place to invest both time, money and skills into community projects around healthcare, education and sanitation.
During the development phase of each supplier arrangement, we discuss which issues are most impacting on the lives of the farmers. In collaboration with representatives of the particular union or collective, we then look at different solutions that can be implemented initially as pilot projects, then discuss prospective roll out milestones. Our process is geared to have the maximum impact with the minimum bureaucracy beyond the necessary implementation of project management and financial auditing. Our goal is to roll out a series of projects that are able to scale using the most effective technologies, local natural resources and manpower, the latter of which training will be provided from the outset to ensure that the projects can be maintained by local people that benefit from these projects.
